Accommodation Quick Reference 

These are the places near the 'main' beaches - ie: those on which you'd generally find other Naturists on a good day. 
 

Many of the beaches not pictured on this website are at least as pleasant as those which are shown, but because of their location - away from main routes or towns - are destinations, rather than an easy day's excursion. 

Northland

Here the Naturist accommodation is most plentiful. It includes Brumar and Bush Haven near Kerikeri, the up-market: Waitata Bay near Russell, and Serendipity Park  near Maungaturoto. For Whangarei area, try Eden Naturaly.

Auckland

Naturist accommodation in Auckland itself is remarkably sparse; the largest of the Naturist clubs (AONC) has cabins available, with an INF passport (ASC has one small cabin). However there's always the option of a visit to one of the Hauraki Islands. 

Upper Central Nth Is, Central NI, Taranaki

In Tauranga the Boatshed Apartments are only 600m from the Papamoa Beach 'nude zone', or try the superb Katikati Naturist Park (30 minutes west and signposted on State Highway 2 about 1 km  south of Katikati). Not far from Opotiki is Ohiwa Coastal Retreat, which is quite near Bryan's Beach.

Gisborne - HB, Lower North Is, Wellington

Naturist accommodation near Wellington, is pretty much only at the local: Wellington Naturist club, located near Upper Hutt; about 40 km north of Wellington City.
Further north is the Hawkes Bay Naturist Club located about 20km west of Napier. Their accommodation includes a refurbished farmhouse. Along with the usual club facilities, they have a lake for kayaking.

Nelson - Golden Bay - Marlborough

Accommodation includes the Sandcastle, near Takaka, Old MacDonald's Farm near Marahau, by the Abel Tasman National Park. Don't rush through this area, there are lots of options for Naturists in the Golden Bay area. Southwest of Blenheim, be sure to checkout Wai-natur Naturist Park.

Canterbury - Rest of South Island

In general the South Island is a Naturist's paradise - especially Golden Bay and the West Coast; because there are fewer people around, and they're more relaxed about skinny-dippers. Just south of Christchurch, is the Pineglades Naturist Club which could to have cabins available. For accommodation near Otago, not far from Kurow is Mt Menzies Station.
