Where:-

From State Highway 1, 23 km north of Whangarei, 6 km past Hikurangi, turn off at Whakapara, at a sign to Bland Bay 49 km. Go past Oakura and turn off into Ngaiotonga Valley, follow signs south, 8 km to Bland Bay. Walk 10 minutes north around rocks to Waione Bay for sunbathing.
