The distance from Warkworth is about 47 km.

Where:-

From State Highway 1, 26 km north of Warkworth and 2 km north of Te Hana, turn east and follow signs toward Mangawhai. At the Te Arai Point Rd sign, turn right and go 5 km (toward Eyres Point). Turn right into Ocean Beach Rd and go 3 km to the beach.

What's there:-

Toilet; no camping: gates closed at night.

Comment:-

Mar 09, AP - I arrived at the southern (Pakiri) end to find a few, only at that end, leaving the rest of the beach deserted. So I crossed the little stream and walked halfway up the beach towards Te Ari Point, had some lunch, and walked back.
