Where:-

From Clevdon, 12 km west of Papakura, follow signs 19 km past Kawakawa Bay via the Kawakawa Bay Coast Road. Go past the boat club ramp, 4 km to the car park at end of the road. Walk east (right) about 30 m around the rocks to a second, small beach, then about 2/3 the way along, go up a marked track beside a stream, to the next beach. A good family spot.

Access difficult an hour each side of high tide. Toilets - ARC camp site.

Jan 09, AW - Tawhitokino beach provides me with everything I need for a relaxing day and I have not had an urge to go anywhere else.

Oct 05, JM - A popular beach with textiles as well, especially in the weekends. Never had a problem with them though, only the occasional curiosity. Great sand and safe swimming for all ages.
