Waimairi Beach

The distance from Christchurch is about 8 km.

Where:-

From central Christchurch, go 6 km east to New Brighton then 2 km north along the Marine Parade, left into Beach Road then immediately right into Broadpark Road to park. Walk 15 minutes along a shingle road (no vehicle access) north toward Spencerville, then head across sandhills to the beach.

What's there:-

Motor Camp at Rawhiti Domain, Shaw Avenue, New Brighton.

Jan 04, SJ - I have frequented Waimairi beach from time to time, however I don't particularly like that beach. I would rather go to other areas to lie in the sun. There are often a number of voyeurs that prefer to 'hide' in the sandhills.
