Hello out there all you vastly overdressed and rather disappointed "unable to go nude" People.

Not much point in me (sitting huddled by a blazing fire as I write this) asking you (who should be doing the same) if you noticed last summer, let alone enjoyed it. However, "It's always darkest just before the dawn" which translated into English that I can understand means "Hope springs eternal", "There's a new day tomorrow" and every "Cloud has a silver lining" (All clichés courtesy of "Rapunzels Golden Hair Book for Scholars" 1892, price 1/3d).

But enough of all this trivia!! Here is the late News, and it's only several weeks late!!

SWIMMARAMA SWIM NIGHT; Pat and Toni Davis (who will be your host and hostess) wish to announce - Commencing Saturday 28th June we have hired the large 5m covered pool at Mt Wellington. (By the Panmure Basin for those of you who have not been lucky enough to go yet.) Room enough for the Hundreds, both Spectators and Participants. Eat out at the "Colonel's Chook House" directly opposite. As we have the financial interest in this venture your support will be appreciated. This is the perfect opportunity to introduce potential "customers" to nudity because of the familiar surroundings and the total lack of pressure to disrobe, just ask my wife; she first went to Swimarama years ago and - "oh boy look at her now"!! (No dear, I don't intend to delete that remark - Yes dear I will try to be good.) Future dates for Swimarama Nights: 19th July, 23rd August, 20th September and possibly October.
"Try it - you'll like it."

GUEST APPEARANCE BY ANNE A; (Secretary Kowhai Valley Club) who writes; "Several Auckland Naturist Families enjoyed a relaxing Easter at Ngatuhoa Youth Lodge, situated in forest service land in the Kaimai Ranges - at the invitation of the Bay of Plenty F.B.G. It was like getting away from it all without too much discomfort, as there was running water pumped up from the stream and hot water for showers, heated by the coal range.
There were several well marked bush tracks in the area surrounding the lodge. Two of which, led to large waterfalls, their beauty making the walks well worth while. Some folks even managed an icy dip in the stream that flowed nearby the lodge; It was an enjoyable experience for all who went."

A SHORT COLUMN OF LARGE "THANKS":
To all of you for taking the trouble to wade through all this...
To Lois Kennedy for the second fabulous "Waiwera Trip" that she has organized practically single handedly. The entire evening was a greet success so why don't you join us next time?
To Graham Tidman, Jane Tidman and Alison Milne who looked after our "Guest of Honour" at Waiwera so well that he wants to be asked back again.
To Tony (A.A.) Wilson. For his pertinent and succinct correspondence in the letters to the Editor of the New Zealand Herald in replying to "Fair Go" of Herne Bay who doesn't want nudists in his backyard/beach.
To Ken Nice for holding our flag so high at the 1/2 AGM of the N.Z.N.F. at Rotorua during Queens Birthday Weekend.

POLITICS (LOCAL BODY TYPE); After the flurry of activity over the last summer?? the normal pace has been resumed which means no news to report of Legal free beaches at this stage.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING; I've saved the best news for last. Please see the separate sheet for details, we have a very large quorum (50) so we need all of you - besides it can be a lot of fun and you get your chance to throw whatever you can at whoever you wish to.

You'll be pleased to know I've finished now I doubt if I'll ever get this job again. But in spite of all that I look forward to seeing you all again an in the nude too!!

Best Wishes
John Miller
