October 1984

Dear members,

SUBSCRIPTIONS ARE DUE FOR +('£ oops 1985

At the A G M it was decided to leave the subscription at $6.00 for this year. There was some discussion reducing it to $5.00 but it was thought that this would not cover increasing costs.

There may need to be a change in the price of towels and T shirts when present stocks run out.

Often members ask where their newsletter is and do not realise that it may have been two years since they paid their subs.

We are sorry to see Tony and Lois retire from the committee. They will be missed but we hope for their advice and support in in the future.

This year's trip to Waiwera after the AGM turned out to be a great success for about 60 of us. Any thoughts of 'cool pool' soon disappeared. The only complaint was that the water was too hot. Good to see some new faces. Our thanks to Lois for the extra work done preparing some of the food. We look forward to seeing you next year.

Swimarama. Unlike most other similar nights this is our own organised night. Give it your support. Our thanks to Pat and Tony for running these nights for us.
Last night for this year - Saturday October 13th., weekend before Labour weekend, 6.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. Admission $2.00 adults 50c children. For those who don’t know Swimarama is on the edge of the Panmure basin; we use the two saunas and the indoor tepid pool.

Ricardo's pool Parakai. The last Friday of the month - hosts are N.S. Nudist Club. 6.00 p.m. until 10.00 p.m. Admission $2.80 adults, 50c children. Our members have been lucky in the raffle over recent months. Please observe the 'no clothing in the pool' rule. Food is available.
Next nights, September 26 th. October 26 th. November 30 th.

Clive Green Health Centre, 14 Federal St., every Sunday night. 5.00 p.m. to 9.00 p.m. Admission $4.00 single $6.00 double. These evenings are popular and many friendships have been started here.

New members please make yourself known to the committee and remember that if you wish to bring a friend along to any of these evenings they do not have to be members.

Remember to keep Auckland Anniversary weekend at the end of January clear for Ngatuhoa Lodge. Details later.

Finally the BIG event of the year - SPRING IS HERE SUMMER IS COMING. Get your gear ready and remember to take it quietly to start with.
     Best wishes to you all.

John
