Omaha Beach

The distance from Warkworth is about 14 km.

Where:-

From Warkworth on State Highway 1, go east through Matakana and follow the signs 14 km to the end of Broadlands Dr at Omaha. Walk right (southeast) to the dunes or 25 m past rocks at low tide, around to the next little cove, which has pink sand.

What's there:-

Can be windy. Motor camp at Whangateau, stores and petrol at Matakana and Leigh.

Mar 09, AP - Nice beach but I didn't think it was a great beach to go nude, as there were new houses right along the beach, and a few people walking on the beach as well. Not in my book I'm afraid. If you want to be private, forget about it.
