Where:-

From State Highway 1, 17 km north of Whangarei, past Hikurangi, turn off at Whakapara, at a sign to Bland Bay 49 km. Go past Oakura and turn off into Ngaiotonga Valley, follow the signs south, 11 km past Bland Bay to the end of the road.

What's there:-

Camping at Puriri Bay with water, toilets and an outdoor shower. No animals or open fires. Good snorkelling and boating. Supplies at Oakura, 28 km by road.
