Where:-

From Swanson go 1 km, turn left into Scenic Drive, 3 km on, just past the tea rooms turn right into Te Henga Road, then follow the signs 6 km to Bethell's Beach. Walk south. For O'Neills Beach, cross the stream and around the point, walk north over the saddle.

What's there:-

Access difficult 1 hr each side of high tide. No facilities.

Oct 02, CE - Cold out - warm in, for a while anyway. No one else around.

Oct 02, JL - Had about 20 minutes in the surf, about midway toward the south end of Bethells. Counted three other males and one female naked, on a blustery Friday with about 10-12 people on the beach in total.
