The distance from Waitakere City is about 20 km.

Where:-

From the Scenic Drive turn west into the Piha Road and drive the 17 km to Piha. Turn sharp left a the bottom of the Piha hill and drive 500m to the south end of the road. Walk over the Tasman Track, or at low tide, around the rocks.

What's there:-

Bluepools is a little cove just south of Piha; a privately-owned beach with a safe pool for swimming. Ask permission to explore the area behind the beach if the owner is about. No dogs. Nudity with caution.
